Today we focused on The Catcher in the Rye. We discussed the impact of Allie's tragic death and the possible impact it had on Holden. We examined the symptoms of leukemia and the read a handout from The Sibling Connection about the impact of losing a sibling on the adolescent psyche. We then read chapter six, in which Holden picks a fight with his roommate and loses horribly.
